Pannon Music Association

Our great plans

The Association is intended to establish permanent singing communities. As part of this endavour in 2018 we’ll launch the so-callaed „Small-Pannon” children’s choir for offering singing opportunities for 6-10 year-old children and also Pannon Mixed Choir for those who left the Pannon Children’s Choir. The Small-Pannon heartily welcomes all those children who like singing and whose parents regard their children’s music education as a priority.

In addition to the music education according to the Kodály-System adapted to the expectations of our modern age, it is equally important to provide opportunities for singing together , making friendships which is made even more precious by playing music together. We would like the uprgrowing generation to get socialized in this manner. In addition to the choral and solo singing, we also lay an emphasis on theoretical music education which is carried out in a playful manner using up-to-date pedagogical methods. The competence-based music education requires us to put equal amount of stress on usable practical skills of choral singing. ’Pannon Choral School’ operates under the artistic leadership of conductor TAMÁS SCHÓBER, supported by conductors ANDRÁS RÉBÉK-NAGY and ÁKOS LŐRINCZ. The two young conductors provide garantee that the choral work, educational principles and goals established by Tamás Schóber will be kept alive for several decades and provide opportunities for those children who are willing to be part of the world-famous Kodály-system rather than following the mainstream methods. After leaving the Pannon Children’s Choir the singers are offerd the opportunity to continue singing in the Pannon Mixed Choir regardless of their age. This opportunity is also available for those adults who are committed to high-standard music. In this way they have the opportunity to perform the most outstanding pieces of both Hungarian and international music history and even – as our experience shows -  participating in such world famous events as a Broadway production.
